here's a bit about us:
WITH-WOMEN SUPPORT THE WISE-WOMAN WAY
Holistic + Intuitive Women's* Health SERVICES
From 'moonarche' to 'moonapause'
Our practices and philosophies are based in the ideas of seeing the body-mind-soul as a whole instead of individual parts, of facilitating homeostasis in the body so that it can heal itself, holding space for Transformation-- however that may look for you, following our Intuition, and re-integrating the Sacred into our lives. We also prescribe to the healing philosophy known as the Wise Woman Tradition.
*Though we offer healing and space-holding for many kinds of folks and many types of life experiences, our specialty is womb-carrier wellness and reproduction, whether you identify as a woman or not.
"A Midwife's sole purpose for existing is to write the birth in the Akashic Records."
Whapio Diane Bartlett
LADY MOON is a part of Brighid's Hearth Church: Temple of Spiritual Healing & Shamanic Birthwork, and as such we follow the beliefs and tenets of our temple lineage. These tenets are inspired by the teachings of Jeannine Parvati Baker, Whapio Diane Bartlett, Michel Odent, Jane Hardwicke Collings, and other wise women and men throughout the ages. These tenets, our 'manifesto' so-to-speak, is constantly evolving and changing just as we do, and guides all that we do as a part of Brighid's Hearth Church. At present our Tenets are as follows:
Sovereignty is the The Law. Autonomy is The Law. Freedom is The Law. Love is the Law.
The Body is a Temple, a Vessel for the Essence of the Divine which is in All Things.
Life IS A SERIES OF TRANSFORMATIONS, each event like a spoke on a wheel.
We are not responsible for dictating or guaranteeing outcomes-- it is not our place to determine the destiny of another.
Death is not an end, but is another door on this journey; a continuation into life as life leads to death.
We strive to separate Death (Theirs) from Loss (Ours) and to honor that Grief & Praise are part of the same Whole.
In order to accept Life and its Danger, we must accept Death. In accepting Death, we assume Responsibility for Our Choices & thus are granted our Sovereingty.
When given the chance, the body has the ability to return to a state of homeostasis (health, balance).
We strive to Understand Everything in the Universe, even if we don't agree.
We strive to be Emotionally Sensitive, while simultaneously Unemotionally Clear, when it is needed.
Make an Alliance with your Medicines, with your Tools, with your Self.
Every person is unique and not any one thing will work for every person.
Midwife is With-Woman, not Woman With-Midwife. Every Woman is her Own Midwife & Birthing Woman was the First Shaman.
Everyone has instinct, and is able to Cultivate the Art of What Occurs to Them.
Science and Technology can be both a positive and negative intervention, and we strive to hold space for when it has value and when it does not.
We strive to be comfortable in flux, in the unknown, living in the moment-duality-paradox-- The Allowing.
We strive to meet you where you are at.
In all things we move to opperate from a place of Self vs. a place of being under authority.
We do not wish to tell you where your power is-- instead, ask yourself where your power comes from.
It takes a village. We believe in bringing community to the family and family back into the community.
You will Receive with Surrender + Gratitude.
Keep birth undisturbed and intuitive.
All choices a woman makes in regards to her/their body should be supported & witnessed without judgment or shame.
We have a right to alternative healing modalities and to accept or refuse care of any kind from any modality or provider.
We strive to recognize Our Wounds, Our Privilege & Our Rank-- to heal and release them when needed, and use them with Wisdom when appropriate.
The Body is a Tool to Experience Altered States of Consciousness. Altered States are how we Court the Divine.
We are electromagnetic multidimensional, multisensual beings made of light and sound, yin and yang, earth-air-fire-water.
We strive to shift our thinking away from Woe and towards Wisdom, and to experience situations as intense instead of painful, to flow with grace.
We believe everyone has the right to choose-- mothers, babies, the elderly; even if we would not ourselves choose it.
We trust in the self-direction and intuitive wisdom of a child's consciousness and a mother's instincts in birth and in all things.
We strive to learn when to focus and when to allow; when to come to the center, and when to move to the edge; when to sit and when to act. To practice Mindfulness in all things.
We are moving into a space of not needing healing, of not needing anything done to us to heal: I can be what I need.
We want to make choices for ourselves, but not be alone. We want autonomy but also a Witness to our Transformation.
There is a difference between Poverty & Impoverishment, and we seek to nourish all of the Bodies of our Beings.

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY,
ONE PROJECT AT A TIME
LADY MOON has multiple sliding-scale and community-outreach projects in the works including a Community Wellness Clinic, a Family Food Sovereignty Campaign, & A Women's Wellness + Prenatal Clinic
A Note About Payment & Sliding Scale
It is our belief at LADY MOON that all people's should have access to quality healthcare and alternative healing modalities regardless of their financial ability, class, job status, race, gender (identified or otherwise), religion, relationship status, etc. Though we live in a Capitalist society where we require money to acquire most things that we need in order to live here (food, housing, gas, car payment, the rent for the healing spaces, and so on), it is our desire to try to move away from a Capitalist (and related classist, racist, sexist, colonialist, etc.) mindframe and culture whenever possible. It is to that end that we will never turn anyone away from receiving healing and support based on lack of finances. In order to do this while still making ends meet and providing a profit for our business so that I (the business owner) can take care of my own family without undue stress, we offer the following for consideration on a case-by-case basis:
Tip It Forward Campaign (for those who can give a little extra towards paying for those who don't have enough to pay/pay in full for their services)
Community Wellness Clinic + Community Women's Health & Prenatal Clinic (will be run at least two days a month, and will be days where services are offered on a sliding-scale or by-donation basis)
Payment Plans (for those who can't pay large lump sums up front but can pay smaller payments over time)
Sliding Scale* (offered for some services; those who can afford the standard price are expected to pay the highest/standard amount so that those who are struggling with financial hardship can pay less/the lowest amount)
Scholarship (we have a scholarship fund that can be donated towards for childbirth education, birth doula services, and most workshops. Usually one partial and one full scholarship each are made available to a low-income person and a person of color for workshops)
Barter (in rare and special circumstances partial or full barter or work-trade may be considered in exchange for services, workshop tuition, etc)
"The sliding scale is a tool that allows for a product or service to be obtained at multiple price points based on the circumstances of the purchaser. The sliding scale represents the idea that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the only determining factor in whether or not someone can access services/care/etc." I do not, as a small business, receive any grants or similar funding for serving low-income individuals and so I seek support from you, the community, to be able to support everyone in our community.
*For more information on how sliding scale and by-donation services work, and to better understand where you fall on the "financial sacrifice vs. financial hardship" scale in regards to sliding-scale and scholarship qualification, please take a moment to read this wonderful article, "The Sliding Scale: A Tool of Economic Justice" by Worts+Cunning/Lunar Apothecary (there are additional resources linked at the end of their article).
